We Are Lager, the UK’s biggest lager festival, is a 4-day celebration of the world’s finest lagers under the roof of one of Manchester’s most iconic Victorian buildings.

‘Drink Better Lager’ is our ethos. Lager has had a bad reputation over recent years and we want to change this by showcasing the best lager around. A beer festival with a difference.

FAQs

Are there any age restrictions?

Children and under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult (over 21) at all times. Alcoholic drinks will only be sold to over 18s, and we will be operating a Challenge 25 policy, so if you’re lucky enough to look younger than you are, please bring ID (passport, European Union photocard or driving license).

How do I get to the venue?

The entrance is in Campfield Avenue Arcade, between Dimitri’s Instituto Cervantes. We suggest you use public transport to travel to the event, which is just a few minutes’ walk from Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink Stop and Deansgate train station so please leave your car at home!

Can I bring my own food and drink?

We will have a large variety of food and drink on offer, so no food or drink can be brought into the event with the exception of infant snacks or special requirements. If food or drink is found, this will be confiscated, and you may be asked to leave the event. No refund will be offered.

Will there be anything to drink other than lager?

We will have a wide variety of drinks available to cater for all tastes, including gin, wine, prosecco and soft drinks.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately due to rules set by Manchester City Council dogs are not allowed on the premises. This does not apply to registered guide dogs.

Can I buy tickets on the door?

Absolutely if its not sold out but these will be at an increased price. £12 for Thursday evening, Friday day and Sunday, and £14 for Friday evening and Saturday. These are limited and will be sold on a first-come first-served basis, so make sure you arrive early!

Do I need to print my ticket?

We would prefer you to download the Skiddle app and show us your ticket from the app. If you don’t have the app, please show your email ticket or print your ticket.

Do I need to bring cash?

We will be operating a token system for all beer. Tokens can be purchased online when booking your ticket, or at the event. At the event, tokens can be purchased with cash or debit/credit cards. Food and non-beer traders will accept cash as well as tokens. Unused tokens will not be refunded.

Do I need to arrive by a certain time?

Last entry is 2 hours before the end of each session.

Can I keep my glass?

A limited-edition glass is included in every ticket price. If your glass is lost or broken, you will need to purchase another glass in order to continue drinking. You are free to take this home with you however it must be empty when leaving the festival site.

Is the event accessible?

Yes the event is fully accessible for disabled guests and a disabled toilet will be available.

I can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, no refunds are available.

Can I volunteer to work at the event?

Absolutely! If you would like to volunteer, please contact rowan@wearegoodthinking.com. Volunteers will receive one free session ticket for every session that they volunteer at.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All attendees must provide a valid ticket or payment upon entry. All tickets will be scanned.

Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded or returned after purchase.

Bag searches will be in operation. Entry may be denied if any search is refused.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or to withdraw any rights of entry to the event to any person.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult (over 21) at all times. We operate a challenge 25 policy.

Alcoholic drinks will only be sold to over 18s, and we will be operating a Challenge 25 policy. We operate a Zero Tolerance Policy to the sale of alcohol to under 18s, the consumption of alcohol by under 18s, and the use of recreational drugs. Any attendees thought to be in breach will be removed from the premises and no re-entry will be admitted.

Proof of age ID may be requested on entry. No refunds will be given for tickets holders unable to provide valid ID (Passport, European Union photocard, driving licence).

All attendees consent to their inclusion in photographic & video promotion.

Re-admission to the event will not be allowed without an official stamp.

Beer will only be served in an official event glass. Lost or broken glasses will incur a replacement charge.

Tokens are non-refundable.

The organisers reserve the right to withdraw or substitute the breweries, food traders or musicians involved at any time.

The organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel the event in circumstances beyond their control.
